"Company EAST" created a stir at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2001 when their show, Medea, was awarded the Scotsman 5 stars. The show was also highly acclaimed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2002 and the Avignon Festival 2002,and also Montreal Festival 2003.
Powerful acting, innovative direction, and exotic costumes awed the audience. Company East toured Greece in 1996 and became the first Oriental company to perform at the ancient ruins of Cyprus, Kourion in 1997.It won the popularity vote in the Rarunaka Festival in 1997 and was once again invited to perform for the Japan Greece Friendship centennial in 1999.
